URGENT PROBLEM! spurious APIC interrupt on CPU#0

Postby cyberwired » Tue Nov 27, 2007 2:31 am

My virtual machines are stopping working and start scrolling the following message:

spurious APIC interrupt on CPU#0, should never happen.

Does that mean the hardware has a problem!?

I've setup 1.7 with noapic in the boot options and it seems to be working so far

Is there something I should be looking into hardware wise though?

What version of VMWare Server are you using?

I had this error once and I upgraded to VMWare Server 1.0.3 and the problem went away.

FYI, 1.0.4 has other issues with ESVA.

VMWare Server 2.0 is coming out soon, in Beta now.

Also, VMWare ESX server seems to run ESVA really well.
