Attchment coming is as Zero K (0K)

Postby hismail » Thu Oct 16, 2008 3:03 pm

Hello Everyone;
I am pretty new to ESVA and I managed to do a successful installation and getting it running. The ESVA server is setup to sit between internet and Exchange server. Every now and then I get complain from users that someone from outside is trying to send them an email with pdf and quark files as attachments and they are coming is as 0k (zero K) files. I can see in the maillog that file coming in are about 9mb and I allow up to 15mb inbound and the message goes to Mailscanner then from there I don't know what happens. So my question is what could be causing this and where should I look for answers in ESVA? Thank for all your help in advance. :?:

On the messages in question, you may want to check the record of them to see if there are any messages about things being changed. Also, you can go into the messages that were passed and look at their contents on the ESVA. If they are 0 length on the ESVA, then the problem is on the sending side.

I see it coming in as 8.7MB but one thing I did notice one thing in common on these messages is that ESVA says in the maillog that "is too big for spam checks (9091962 > 150000 bytes)" . But I thought that is suppose to mean that message would not be considered SPAM becoz it is too big to be considered SPAM. Anythoughts??

From what you said
ESVA says in the maillog that "is too big for spam checks (9091962 > 150000 bytes)

It looks like you really have your max size set to 150 KB you need two more 0's to make it 15 MB.
